Our annual bowling trip was as enjoyable as ever, for members and carers who took part and for those who preferred just to watch.

RAP choosing the right bowling ball

Choosing the right bowling ball is crucial. Not too heavy, mind!

RAP having a laugh

There’s always time for a good laugh!

RAP bowling trophy winners indoors

Competition was keen, with Stevie being the eventual winner and pictured above receiving the newly named David Rawlings trophy from Jerry. The two pretty carers alongside equalled Stevie’s score but were, of course, ineligible to be awarded the trophy. Margaret came second in the competition, followed by Heather in third place and Ben in fourth.

RAP - Dave Rawlings at Herriot Museum circa 2004

The late David Rawlings was a very good friend to RAP and will be remembered by many for driving the minibus for us for several years as well as being a regular helper at the Friday evening swimming sessions.

Once the trophy has been engraved with his name, Stevie will hold it for a year. Well done, Stevie!
