2014 AGM held on Saturday, 11th October at Ripon Youth Centre

We were delighted to welcome mayoral parties from Ripon and Pateley Bridge this morning. The official proceedings were put on hold while they chatted with members, volunteers and carers and joined in with the craft activity of the day – the decorating of wooden spoons.

Jerry pointed out that this is the 20th year of RAP and expressed his thanks to all who continue to support us. It’s his own 11th year as Chairman and 14th as a volunteer, but some volunteers had served even longer.

Last year’s AGM minutes were approved and the Chairman’s, Vice Chair’s and Treasurer’s reports read out. It’s been a good year as regards activities and we’re very grateful for support and donations received from other local organisations and individuals. These have been particularly appreciated since NYCC’s decision to axe the grant we previously enjoyed.

The AGM ended with a vote of thanks from Margaret, echoed by Cllr Mick Stanley, the Mayor of Ripon, and three hearty cheers for anyone who has helped RAP in any way during the course of the year.
